In this mentorship, you will receive guidance in creating environments and assets for games. The initial focus will be on understanding your current skills, identifying your goals, and creating a plan to develop your skills. Depending on your specific goals, we will cover advanced workflows and tailor the program to your needs. In terms of organization, the mentorship will be divided into two parts, the first part will be in the first 3 weeks where we will review your skills and improve them for the Classique Baked Props workflow. It will be an opportunity to talk about game constraints, how to make a clean bake, sculpting techniques, texturing workflow, etc. Then we will dive into your big project, you will have the opportunity to choose a concept that you will turn into a 3D environment or diorama. We will see all the steps from blocking to integration, shaders, lighting, optimization, rendering, compositing, etc. The goal is to allow you to create a large portfolio piece that can show all aspects of an environment artist's journey, through the art but also the tech. The organization will follow the classic mentoring schedule. 1 personal call per week to review your progress, provide feedback on your work, some demonstration if needed, and set goals for the next week. And one week out of two, you will have a group call with the other mentees where I will show some advanced workflows and also have time. In addition, during the whole mentorship you will contantly received write down feedback and paintover on your current work. By the end of the mentorship, you will be able to create visually stunning environments that not only look impressive, but also meet real-time performance requirements. This is an opportunity to gain confidence in your work and ensure that you are investing your time effectively to enhance your learning and professional growth.

The Mentorship I participated in with Kostia was extremely beneficial, his ability to identify my skill level and then rapidly develop a course of action was impressive. I was learning things I felt were not too complex but just complex enough for me to be challenged. Kostias ability to teach in this way was outstanding because everyone else in the group had different strengths and weaknesses.
Yet Kostia could teach us all individually challenging each of us based off of where we were at skill wise. Kostia has a very clean apporach to being a mentor and he is a master of his process which is what makes him such a good mentor. He is able to teach and solve problems very quickly on the fly due to his experience with the softwares over the years.
I was really impressed by Kostias flexibility to meet at times even when he is in Europe and I am in America. Kostia is a very strong artist and super accommodating when it comes to us struggling, he quickly solves the issues and educates us on what to do to solve the problem.
If Kostia teaches another mentorship in the future I will for sure be partaking in it again he has been a great professional and a very cool guy to work with.
